Here Comes the Sun

Sorry for the brief absence, all.

You see, the sun has been calling my name. It’s been a bit of a wolf call, actually. Long and drawn out….impossible to ignore.

And, I’ve responded in typical lady like fashion…batting my eyelashes…pretending to ignore his flirtatious gestures. Telling him my dance card is full. Biding my time.

Until, finally…the perfect day.

75 degrees. No wind. Blue skies.

My little ducklings in tow, I made my way to the nearest patch of sun. There was a whole lot of lounging. A bit of strolling. A dab of picnicking. Plenty of skipping. Some bug catching. And, quite possibly too much bubble blowing.

And, again, the next day….and the next…

Summer, my friends, has stolen me away….

Author’s note….Don’t worry. You aren’t rid of me yet.

I completely understand. I just told my sister-in-law that if anyone needs me from now through the weekend, they can find me in my back yard soaking up the sun. And chasing my crazy child of course!

We long to see and enjoy the sun here. We've had so much rain that we are just waiting for the animals to start gathering two by two.

I hear that, this nice weather certainly has me off the couch more!

I too have been lured by the sun. And I've missed him (after a winter that lasted 7 months!) sooo much. Enjoy.

It is MORE than understandable! The sun is a beautiful thing, and with those temps (we're already hot here), definitely enjoy while you can! :)

Hi there.
Our weather here has been up and down as well.
I'm stopping by via SITS to say hello.

Sounds like wonderful days! It has stolen me a bit from the computer, but then again my Husband has been hogging it for his Ipod stuff:)

It's a good thing to be kidnapped by. Enjoy it!

I've enjoyed the warmth too. Walking to the office, walking to the cafeteria, herding to the library, marching to computer lab...

2 weeks to go, don't you miss it?

I don't think anyone blames you....

At least it's a good thing that's stealing you away! Enjoy Mr. Sun!

I wish I could tear myself away from the computer to actually enjoy the sun. I'm pathetic with my free time!

Yep. That's where you'll find me. Tire swing, weird bugs, sunshine on my shoulders....free as a bird and neglecting the interweb. Good times....

My best, Lynn

Ah, the sun's siren song is too strong to resist.

The sun will suck the indoor activity energy out of the best of us, at least ONCE per summer season. It's your turn!

The sun just came out in Georgia over the past couple of days, Thank God! For two weeks we had nothing but rain. I know we need that but, jeez I got so down with the greys I know why I'd never move to Washington! Beautiful post:)

We have 93 degrees today, dreading doing anything but lounging under the airconditioning, though I have a lot to do outside like mow and brick a small patio.

It was beautiful here this weekend, too -- much too nice to be sitting inside!
